Our Surrounds

Whichever range you choose from, you can be sure of the quality of our surrounds, which are manufactured for Great Plate Mate in the EU. Our tough, hard wearing surrounds are made from moulded polystyrene, moulded polypropelene or a combination of both, and finished to a very high standard. Our 'Street Style' range looks fantastic, the metal effect surrounds are created by using a foil which is either patterned, coloured or left as a very highly polished finish such as chrome. The foil is stretched over the surround and then hot pressed, which bonds the foil to the surround's face, creating a brilliant and extremely hard wearing surface which is perfectly suited to cope with the harsh conditions encountered during a long life on the road. 

Our 'Motorsport' and 'Printed' surrounds are black surrounds that have their bases printed with a graphic design, a team name or your own club's artwork. The designs are printed using the latest digital printing system and the latest uv inks, and after printing, are dried under uv lamps to give the ultimate protection against natural fading and general wear and tear. These surrounds are available with your own club, society, church, campaign or charity details printed for everyone else to see - if you can create it, we can print it - or we can create it for you!

Our 'Custom Message' surrounds offer two choices, you can either have your message printed onto a black surround with a coloured background strip along the base or, we can print your message onto any of our metal effect surrounds or our screen printed pink surround.

For the coloured background version, you choose the colour of background from the 11 colours available, and the same colours are available to print your message in. We can fit approximately 40 characters (inc. spaces) onto a surround, if you choose to have your message on a metal effect or the pink surround you have the same 11 colours to choose your message colour from.

All messages are applied using high quality vinyl letters, the coloured base strips are pre-printed and your choice of colours are black, white, red, green, yellow, orange, pink, gold, silver (not chrome), royal blue and sky blue - messages in capital letters only, are far, far bolder than using small case letters.

We'll pretty much print what you like, but we do reserve the right to refuse to print a message should we consider it likely to cause offence to anyone or any group - life's to short..............
